All through her life, Sara Evans only held just one ambition: to sing and compose country songs. "God placed me on the planet to become the singer of my life," said Evans, in a quote by John Meroney of American Enterprise. This is my dream and the thing I'm going to do. Furthermore, Evans wanted to succeed by going back to traditional songs of the country genre, which were re-created by famous stars like Patsy Cline, Hank Snow, Tammy Wynette, George Jones and Patty Loveless, musicians Evans considered her greatest influencers. Evans' first success came in the late 1990s as many hopeful country singers shifted towards popular music. Her debut in 1997, True Lies, was one of the best examples. True Lies was not a major success, despite it being loved by critics as well as winning an 1998 Academy of Country Music nomination for the top female vocalist. Evans was persuaded to change her song repertoire for No Place That Far in 1999 by the producers. This gave her the recognition that she'd been longing for. Sara Evans was a born in Columbia Missouri on February 5 in 1971. She spent her early years, along with her six siblings and brothers.
